UNetbootin for Windows

6.61

Description
UNetbootin is an extremely useful program for computer craftsmen that will eliminate the need to carry around stacks of CD / DVD discs. The main function of this program is to create bootable USB flash drives with Linux distributions. It supports the 40 most common distributions and many versions of each.

The program does not need to be installed, so you can carry it with you on a flash drive or hard drive. Once launched, it is immediately ready for use and offers two options: download the desired distribution / version from the Internet, or use an existing ISO image.

After selecting the Linux distribution you need, you will see that the program provides a link to its home page, a short description, and a brief note to it.

When you have made your choice, all that remains is to choose the media on which the distribution will be written. It can be a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.

In addition, with UNetbootin, you can create bootable flash drives with various tools, such as Parted Magic, FreeDOS, F-Secure Rescue CD, Super Grub Disk, Backtrack, NTPasswd and others.

In addition, using this program, you can “install” the distribution on your computer. In this case, the files from the ISO image of the distribution you have chosen will be copied to the hard drive and the computer will start up in the same way as if you had used the bootable media with this distribution.

To do this, just select the desired distribution, and indicate on which disk or partition to install it.
